Food insecurity is a major problem at Syracuse University. Compounding this problem is the existing stigma against those who participate in social welfare programs such as food banks/pantries. In an effort to alleviate these issues, the mobile food pantry is a decentralized, flexible configuration of food crates able to assemble and disassemble at a moment's notice. Those in need would find the location and time of the food pantry via an app, preventing geospatial stigmatization. This mobile component is also very helpful in food deserts, as this system would be readily deployable to the areas most in need.
